so the privy council dude on the news (not sure of the right term or his name) stated that with the calls of treason and the general disdain towards the government, he is concerned that there might be an assassination before the election is over...he would mention who though....

The government is surprised by all the negative attention given this because when doing business in Quebec, corruption, bribery and government complicity is a normal course of business. The former justice minister was not from Quebec and actually acted ethically and screwed up the whole business in Quebec process. That’s why she was quickly replaced by someone from Montreal who understands that ethics and abiding the laws are optional depending on how much and to whom the bribes are paid. Energy east could have been approved, but they forgot to pay the bribes before they announced interest in the project.

I’m thinking she agreed to not spill all the beans in exchange for Trudeau firing Gerald butts. Then she’ll be rewarded later with another ministerial position or a sweet ambassadorship somewhere. All this will be quickly swept under the rug by the end of next week.

I don't think she will play that game. She has been too calculated so far and I don't think she will open anything up or participate in anything that could affect her down the road. There is no doubt Trudope will try to muzzle her in some way and has talked to her about what he would like her to say. I think she has a mind of her own and I will be disappointed if she doesn't come out and tell it like is.

That's not quite true. Apparently, he IS entitled to severance but it is not known if he intends to collect. He would only be entitled to 2 weeks per year he served Trudeau for a total of 6 weeks of severance pay. That said, I have no idea if he qualifies for pension.
