Across the street at Road King if I remember $7 and re-weighs are free in case you want to drop the trailer and weight the truck so you know what the trailer weighs by itself they wont let you drop the trailer on the scale

The government scales are free. Truckstop scales are privately operated so that's why they charge for them and prices very. There are two government scales on Hwy 16. One is east of Sherwood Park (Ardrossan) and the west bound is at the Acheson overpass (Hwy 16 and 60). The east bound is a maned scale and the west bound is a selfweigh. Both are 24hr scales. If you weigh at the east bound scale and the DOT officer is working he will print you a weigh ticket if you ask :)

If your out and about a local grain elevator will have a scale. I've done that before :)

So I need to ask this question

Where are the UNMANED/DOT weight scales around EAST Edmonton

Goggled for an hour and read so much crap that I came back to S & M to ask for help

I may be overweight and do not want a ticket to find out how bad I may be overweight - you know just to be safe

There are no "unmanned" ones ,just go to Ardrossan when they're closed.Scale will still be on and digital read out is outside where you can see it.

HWY 16 and HWY 60 on the north side of the yellowhead. Head towards big lake, there is a pull around there, tons of room and really close to the highway.

Few years back I wanted to weigh my new toy hauler loaded to the nuts and truck as we were off to alaska.. I pulled into the scale North of Edmonton going to gran prairie some place.. Looked around and no one there

2500 duramax and 43' foot voltage came in just under 30000lbs... My drives were over by a few thousand lbs... As I drive away I see the dot dude walking into scale.. Never had a issue since and pulled it last few year from alaska to mexico
