Saddle hills towers

Does anyone know if they put gates in at the towers? Looked like last year they had posts up,.. hoping to do a May long camping there with our family and another this year with children.

Wheres the towers? I've only been out in the hills a few times, theres some not bad trails out there, i just don't know where they all are.

You know where Sexsmith used farm parts is right? Just keep heading south on that road till you come to the towers on the top of the hill.

I was told that there may be gates going in this year, but wanted to know for sure. We usually stay on the left hand side towers, and from what I have asked around,.. you can get to hilltop lake to the west from there,.. but I am not sure of the directions.

yea i've been there, you can go through the cutline back to the highway i belive then I've been on the trails on the other side of the highway that go to the last chance cabin. found a few trails west of back road but couldn't find my way to woking, did find my way to the westmark road a few times Are there more trials or is that it?

No can't remember if there is gates or not but if there is they have always been opened. Ya trails are pretty decent all the way to hilltop. I beleive it's called the snake road the one that most people drive in on up there. If you drive to the very end of it (west maybe 7 miles off old highway) there is a log cabin. If you head north any time before the snake road ends you'll come out reletively close to woking. I's been riding them trails religously since I was 12!

Maybe sometime this year we'll have to do a trip and find a few more areas up around there, or at least get more familiar with the ones already known. Be interesting to do a GPS layout of the known trails.

Ya for sure. some of them i wont soon be forgetting. when i was 13 my friend and i ventured off up there got lost and stuck in a rain/lightning storm. he ran out of gas so i ended up pulling him home. we entered the bush by woking, and came out east of la glace. had to ride to rode home in the pouring rain. got home at 1;00am, quite an adventure for 2 youngsters havent been so stupid since then lol.

Went up there 2 days ago for an evening ride... Very nice conditions. Seems like no1 has hardly been ripping up there. Lots of untouched mud holes, nothing really rutted up yet! I'll post the one and only pic I took.

I couldn't get out this weekend,.. but if you are not doing anything next Sunday we should try for a ride. I drove by your place last Friday on my way back from Bonanza,.. saw your truck with the green machine in the back.

ha it was thursday night i went, was going to send ya a message but it was a very short notice thing. and i should have been working! but ya id like to go on sunday, we'll see how things go. getin busy in the fields now.

This weekend the hills got a lot of snow. me, my gf and my buddy decided it would be a bright idea to go cruising up there in his 2 wheel drive long box ford. long story short we got stuck and it was retarded. the heavy snow has wrecked tons of trails due to trees down everywhere nice and muddy though..

Looks like you can invest in a chainsaw,, trails are not wrecked, just gave you a new hobby of clearing them,,,,enjoy!!!! Gives you a reason to keep the trails upkept.
