Running board inserts

Just wondering what your guys or gals opinions are on running board inserts what are the best ex:better boards,monster boards gonna be purchasing a set for my sled here right away any info would be great thanks.

I made my own for $80. The better boards are nice. His web site says he does some testing to ensure they dont weaken the tunnel. Take your time cutting. Best thing I did to my sled, no snow in the running boards.

put a set of wrp boards on my rev, my brother put a set on his m series and my bud on his xp and gotta say looks good on all three, can load pics on the weekend, like the fact that they come poweder coated and how high they come up on the tunnel.

Well these are not inserts, but no where for snow or ice to buildup and zero deflection in them either. Pic's are of the installation of Skinz Airframe running boards on a 2008 M6

Here are the X-Mod boards installed on my 08 Dragon 155. Picked them up at the Calgary Sled Show. Installation wasn't too difficult.

If your thinking of wide board styles, WRP Wide series for Skidoo 2008-2011 & Polaris 2007-2011 finish in black powder coat or raw aluminum.

I have aluminum on my M1000 (don't remember which brand), and the plastic ones from Fastlane on my M7. The plastic work way better and will be going on my big sled as soon as possible.

Just found out Wayne has these in Castlegar at Menztoys.com. Cheaper than Fastlane too, and he's an awesome guy to deal with! Just bought some vents from him! :d

I just used a regular jigsaw from the bottom side.....and A LOT of blades! :d Done 3 of them that way.

When we did our two dragons, we used a air die-grinder with a 3" cut-off blade. We only went thru 2 blades with both sleds. We traced the cut-out parts from the boards and then just cut bigger than the line. We didn't have much clean-up after to make sure we couldn't see the stock boards through the holes.

i used a grinder on my D7, to do the rough cutting and cleaned it up with a pair of red wiess snips, the snips are awesome!

i used my plasma cutter ,but grinder with cut off, or a air saw will work fine
