What doo you mean by "a long ways"?

The exit pipe from the stock muffler is 1 and a 1/4 to 1 and a 1/2 inches away from the melted plastic. So, where theThing attaches to the stock muffler is the hottest place and it is no different really than the 2014 and 2013's. As for brand of can, use what you like and I will enjoy my lemon garlic shrimp, the occasional feed of bacon wrapped scallops or the odd BBQ'd strip loin steak c/w with fresh veggies in a tangy plum sauce!

A black chain case cover? Interesting......

I also see that you still have the foam on the side panel. That may reflect/keep more heat in the affected area, no?

I still have the foam on my panels too. No melting. Seems the thing cooker can does what it's says!

Pack it in, pack it out, and don't leave anything on the stick.
Can't have the Caribou whinners smelling us when they can't even stand the thought of us being in "their" mountains.
The Precautionary Principle the MoE uses says, only the snowmobilers poo stinks.
