Well, the 1st problem with them is they have to go through drive thru's backwards and thats on hell of a danger for other drivers around them.

I don't care if they're banned or not. But was following one time and he was trying to pass a truck and trailer. He had to go so far over to see he got clipped by a semi.

I don't have one nor do I want one but do you think they should be banned?

You can't see out of them when driving behind someone. I guy I went to school with was killed buy one of these cars. The right side drive car was trying to pass a car and he had to pull out so far to see if it was clear to pass, and he pulled out so far he didn't see Nathan and hit him head on. I don't agree with them they are not designed for the roads here.

my buddy bought one for his kid, they did some research on the legalities of right hand drive cars and found one that said you have to have a spotter (passenger) to pass anyone with a RHD vehicle.

so i was talking to a mechanic this morning and he was saying, that alberta transport, is thinking on reducing the tire size and lifts on 4x4, that it is a safety hazzard. Also right hand drive vehicles is on the radar.

Has anyone one else heard anything on this??

this is old news, as this has been in the works for several years now....... Will be maximum 3" lift and maximum 2 size larger tires........ Alberta transportation already has the proposal in government to be passed as legislation, but it takes time. There is already a maximum headlite and taillite height, and they doo ticket for that. headlites- 21 to 55inches above road surface, taillites- 14 to 83inches above road surface

while the rumor mill is grinding. Has any one heard the rumor that vehicles will have to pass an emissions test prior to renewing registration?

In my experience on my long commute to work, generally these trucks are full of impatient drivers going to fast, pass when they shouldn't, and of couse will throw rocks all the time! Earlier this year one passed me and of course he had to 'throttle to the floor' to make noise. His driveshaft blew up just as he was beside me and all I seen was smoke and parts flying all over.
