And what does that do to getting to where we need to get to ?
Depends on the road you come in on. Of you come from Small Boy, or Pembina River Road, or the other route mentioned south of Cadomin (from the link Arff posted) you're okay.
Dont pick that road. Doesn't sound like fun to turn around there.

Found this on line.
A few good hills. Was muddy and slick as hell when we went in March. I'd imagine dry would be alright.

Map or trail in.

Stayed at the Rob hotel this weekend. The owner took care of all our food. We made our own lunches and he supplied everything. 32 people. 16 machines. Prime rib when we got back and lots of cold beers. I highly recommend if you’re quading or hunting in the area the Rob hotel owners could the customers. The food was more than reasonable. Most of his supplies come from the Warburg colony. Ruby falls back was a wicked Saturday temperature of zero and windy as f:)k

Seen some videos on Facebook. Cardinal River is fairly high and moving fast.

I've got a September trip planned for there.

Is there another way across should that river be impassable?
Looking at Google maps, it looks like a person could run Cardinal road East and take a lease road south. But would still need to cross some form of moving water.

Wondering what other trails/riding areas can be accessed from camping near where Pembina river road meets Cardinal river road.

Yes, you had the right idea. From the end of this road, North will take you to Ruby Falls and South is the South Esk Trail.
