rpm problems

I have a 07 M6 and on my first ride of the year yesterday I couldn't get it to pull more than 6400 RPM. I am riding in the prairies and have the proper weights in as I go from the mountains to the prairies all the time. When it gets up to 6400 rpm it seems that its almost cutting out like a govener. If anyone has some suggestions it would help, thanks in advance.

Well not sure what RPM the power valves are to open on that engine but if it has been sitting all year and this was your first ride i think i would checjk that first.

just got the sled back from the shop, it was the power valve cable.
