having trouble with my 2010 800 dragon the rpm will flash to 8000 then drop off under load to 7400 -7500 i have changed my fuel filter and voltage regulator put on new belt and checked compression 120 psi bolth sides what sould i do next thanks
One thing to check is your exhaust valves. I had problems with mine and it's easy to do. Another thing could be clutching. Worn out or broken parts within
had somethng similar where the sled would briefly touch 8200 rpm when hammered on, then dive to below 7700.... found the first coil of my primary spring had broken off and was binding in the clutch. didn't matter what weight i threw into it, no gains and same result.

My 06 800 rev is doing the same thing. I have replace and adjusted my weights and ramps in my primary and it functioning well. I have also cleaned my rave valves (they were caked with carbon build up), changed spark plugs, made sure carb boots weren't cracked, checked compression 135 on both, and it still does it. It seems to be when if it fully warmed up and under load like in a deep carve it happens but it bench test's great in the shop and if I open her up on hard pack it hit 8000 no prob.
