Hi Folks,

Each year myself and a group of guys rough camp and ride for a couple of days in early June. I am the one who plans these trips. I am thinking of rough camping along HWY 752 about 5 km's past where the pavement ends. I have seen campers and quads here in the summers. I am thinking of riding up baseline mountain in addition to other riding. I am just wondering, are there enough trails in this area to keep a group of pretty experienced riders occupied for two full days? Any advice would be appreciated.

Have at it before they close all of bighorn. What do you mean by camping 5k past the pavement? That would roughly be the T intersection to the forestry trunk road?

If you're talking the prairie creek area then yes lots of trails but be warned the road with the gate on your right is a closed road. You can get fined if caught on it.

I know people that have gotten tickets on it. Was the gate open when you went through?

since Falls Creek road is closed is it bad to be in the Falls Creek area? Falls Creek is accesable from north, from the SunPine road.

I'm pretty sure you can still ride in there, just stay off the road. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong.
There's been talk of it being closed all together. I think ray came across some deactivated trail when accessing from the north last year

Good morning. I have a road use agreement for that road and can honestly tell you theres not much to see in there anymore. They have logged the ever loving sh!t out of the area and are still hauling out of the Tay. Lots of steep rutted (read Jeep Jamboree)out trails that are pretty dangerous. Also if its not steep its skeggy. We don’t access our trapline until freeze up as its a bit of a nightmare ride. Not trying to fear monger or trying to keep people out or anything, but there are a lot better and safer areas to ride than that side of the road. Cheers

When I was in there last couple times it was tough going in some places. Some old trails were still good as they have a good rock base to them but as you said there are many new roads and logged out spots it is hard to navigate now.

We've been there last summer and stayed on the right of the gravel road. Plenty of trails if you ask me. Will definitely be going back once the snow is gone.

From the sun pine road to the falls there is.,,,,,or was a steep hill that makes you quiver. But I haven’t been through there for a couple years The old way (now closed ) was the easy way
