Hey guys just wondering what people are using to protect their Seadoo's from mud/rocks? I know you can get those mesh style guards for boat trailers but i can't find any for smaller trailers...any input would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks.

How much are you asking for that set up?

I was looking at that too. Prices I saw were $250-300 so I decided to build my own rock guard. I went to Princess Auto and picked up an insert and some 1 x 1 tubing. Just finished getting the 1 x 1 welded onto the insert. You could also use a square U-bolt to attached the 1 x 1 to the insert. I just need to bolt on some cheap mud flaps and I'm done. Without the mud flaps I'm into it for about $40. Not as fancy but the price is right.

they are 165 for the setup at dyson trailers in stony. i was looking for one to protect the boat but not sure yet if that is actually what i want. or if i will just build a rock gaurd directly on the trailer.

I got a set of Rock Guards from Peavey Mart after a cheapo set of mud flaps from Princess Auto tore off on their maiden voyage. They were spendy but they work well although they seem to sweep up dust on gravel roads.

If you go with rock tamers, you might as well just through rocks at your machines yourself. They kick up as much as they stop, everytime they touch down. Check the endgates of anyone running these things for a season.
Go with a grass skirt for the small trailers or build something for the trailer itself.

Do they kick up more rocks than they stop? Opinions needed. Mabye length should be shorter?
