So my buddy needs A motor for his rev and has a chance to get an rk trek 860 BB with dynoport y-pipe, pipe and the thing stinger, and vforce3 reeds. The guy had the kit put in and wrote the sled off the first weekend. He's willing to sell it for $1700. Good deal?

My main sledding buddy (glassman) ran an 860 originally built by Boulder Mtn. Sled Shed, then tweaked by Mongoose Machine, for three long, hard seasons on his '06 REV, before he had any issues. That sled was a beast !!

Sent from my iPad when I should be fishing.

I built an RKTek 860 for my son last year.I cost $2250 for the kit and another 1200 for a new BRP crank. So if there are not many miles on that engine,I would say that is a pretty good deal.

Who you gonna believe???MAXWELL?? or the freak?

Well considering its a skidoo...and Maxwell is the "skidoo god" I take his advice on doo's seriously.

And it seems mountain magic is more interested in big projects with lots of custom work. I love there work but its not my sled, its my buddy's and he can be stingy. We'll get estimates from both places and he'll go with the cheaper one.

I know both shops have different opinions on way to builds things and such. Example, I went to both and asked about putting a p85 into my etec. MM said "good idea we do it all the time and it works great". Specialty said " don't do it".

I put a P85 and a Team secondary on my 2000 700 Summit and it will run with my friends 03 800 Summit and 07 800 Cat. Its a pretty good mod if you ask me. But then again who am I?
