Iconic Hickey Night in Canada broadcaster Bob Cole passed away at 90 yrs young today. He will be missed.

He was a good one. Met him at the beer tap in an Air Canada lounge once. A real gentleman

Did ya know he is in the Newfie curling hall of fame? He played skip in the brier for newfoundland two times and also two times in Canadian mixed championships

His voice changed over the years as well. They have been playing clips of him calling Hendersons big goal in the 72 Summit Series for CBC radio and I could have sworn it was Foster Hewitt? He sounded just like him then.

He is one on the greatest sports annoucers of all time! The GOAT!. He brought a country together every SATURDAY nite! he truly was a BEAUTY and will be great missed. May he RIP and condolences to the family!
