Riding The Big Ice

Took my daughter and a few of our regulars and relatives on a nice glacier ride. Promised my daughter that I would take her this year...been home two days and she is still grinning, used phone to call home from top of the mountain(she thought that was sweet)That was the best part of the ride, second best part was that we had the whole area to ourselves with no tracks when we got there. Got to about 9150' on Friday...put some more pics in the gallery.

It's a remote station positioned on a rock outcropping at about 8000'

She has a 91 Phaser but she is only 11(almost 12) so no solo trips yet but she is tough...that was a 165KM round trip ride.

She had the giggles giving dad the ears...just above her fingers are the big crevices and exposed ice on the front side of the glacier.

Snowchuk, those are some BEAUTIFUL pictures. No wonder your daughter can't stop smiling. That is amazing snow for this time of year !!! You would never know it was the end of March when those pictures were taken. WOW!!

Great pics. Was in there last Sat riding, some good snow on the back side of the glacier. One of my favorite places to ride.
