Hey everyone please comment back on what you like about safety. Ill tell you alittle about my story in sept 2009 i was riding with my dad and a couple. We ended up ditching my dad and going back to the trucks to wait for their friend. 3 hrs later there friend didnt stop for the road and was hit and killed by a truck right in front of me. PLEASE RIDE SAFE :( :)

Real sorry about your friend. I too have had friends killed by not paying attention.
I agree safety is a must. I to often see young children riding full size quads and thinking they can drive just because they can push the throttle. I would like to just slap these kids parents silly. I have had quads roll on me and it aint no piece of cake trying to get it off of yourself.

PLAY SAFE OUT THERE, and live to ride another day...:d

Suzukiltz400, Sorry to hear about your dads riding buddy and your experience you had. Its not the best way to learn valuable lessons in life and the out come was tragic, but there is one positive to this incident, it has raised you and your groups safety awareness. You seem like a young person and Im hoping this incident doesn't scare you away, and only make you stronger and wiser. I was involved in a bad snowmobile incident last March, that we lost a great friend and mentor, but Ive learned alot and now look up and know he's watching over us. And he would never want us to quit what we love to do. Im both an avid quadder and snowmobiler, and would like to see the younger generation keep our legacy going, with full respect for Safety of themselves and others around them. Keep your head up and think safety all the time, and keep riding.:)

This is always a dangerous weekend to be out, I try to evade the herds and stick to the back country up in Nordegg. I stay away from the major trail systems. Brule is a terrible place for traffic as well, there has been a few people killed there on long weekends. Heck, I went up there on a regular weekend and saw a pretty nasty accident...so be careful everyone!

Yes it is must, a few weeks ago a girl from Lloydminster was quading by herself and went down a ravine and the quad flipped and landed on her and killed her. I personally didn't know her but a few of my buddies did. be safe out there

Safety....Be careful not to play the 'one-up' game too hard because it will usually lead to someone pushing their own envelope past their comfort limit and that's when accidents happen. Whatever you're riding, do it for your enjoyment of the sport and the people you are riding with.

I just heard that a co-worker's sister was killed last weekend when her quad rolled ontop of her crushing her chest and colapsing her lungs. My thoughts and a prayer go out to her family.
Play safe to ride another day..
