I've got a Fox. Chest and spine protection. Not too bulky and no shoulder pads, didn't want the restriction. I had to learn the hard way, like a lot of folks, before I got one.

My head to toe, three layer, Klim set of clothing. Why? I wear the same three layers while riding from -25 to 0 degree temps. Never cold, never too warm, always dry. Best $$ I have spent on gear.

My FXR Gear, bought jacket, pants and boots when I was 13, I finally retired the pants & jacket 2 years ago, still wear the boots. Best gear I've ever had, and still use. Lasted 8 years, and the boots are on year 10.

I have both Klim and Motorfist. Both brands are awesome. Water repellant, breathable fabrics are the only way to go and you can't beat Gore Tex or eVent.
