I'm a new rider and looking to learn. Anyone done the ride with chris brown clinic solo? How was it? Did your riding improve?

Chris is a great guy and he will teach you lots. He spots your weak areas and shows you how to be a better smarter rider. Doesn't matter your riding level. You will definitely come out of it a better rider.

The crazy but extremely skilled "guy" (inside joke) lol is also an awesome teacher in his clinics. He is great with one on one as well as team teaching and you will absolutely leave better rider. Well worth the experience

Is this something I can head down with my machine and do alone? I can't find a friend that thinks they need improvement.

You must ride with Maxwell :)

I would contact Chris and see what arrangements can be made so you can fast track your learning. Nothing is a replacement for seat time at the end of the day. Someone can give you some tips and pointers but if you only ride 6 days a year you will likely have difficulties.

I would defiantly recommend going to a riding clinic especially if you only ride a few days in the mountains. The knowledge you gain from a professional, you can use even when riding the prairies ( if it ever snows!). Counter steering and stand up riding can be practiced in a stubble field with a foot of snow. Every time you go out you will get better.

Yeah I've gone to his clinic in mcbride for the last 2 seasons. Awesome teacher and he will take the time to go over things with you as long as you are willing to keep trying. Even with the group clinic there's still plenty of 1 on 1 time. He's a really fun guy to ride with. Me and my buddy are going to whistler this year to ride with him.

i think chris has a alot to offer the newer riders, another option for you would be to try out Weirboondocking out of fernie BC. i have done many clinics with them, and learned so much. They were able to work with my ability and challenge me. They have made a huge improvement in my riding ability but most of all it has left me wanting to come back. I have always had a great time, they know the area so well, If you have a chance i would give them a call as they are close to you, you wont be disapointed in there clinics
