Well spent a bunch of time on some wildcats yesterday. Hats off to Northside motorsports in Edson . They took us on a hell of a side by side test run demo. Wide open in the two cats for a rip. These guys ride them hard .....lol. Great guys, know their stuff.

Anyways took out a new 700 trail and a 1000x limited with the elkas.

The trail 700: lots of power,lots....Handles good for what it is (50 wide). good clutching and excellent steering . looks well built with a strong frame, big huskie axles & CVS. Nice seats. Shifter was very smooth,no notchiness at all. Better seats than a rzr with better vision. Small cockpit though a little tight for taller riders. Over all great little sxs,i would say would give the rzr a run for the money anyday......
I did not like the engine noise and a fair amount of vibration (mostly in 4x4 though).
Over all really nice unit, quite impessive !!!

It was tough on the little 700 when you go head to head with the 1000 X though.......
The Xlimited is simply amazing . The power and suspension are unreal. 50 / 60 mph through rutted stumped forests no problem at all.
Elkas with 18 inchs travel is a whole nother world,,,lol. The X has a beefy frame, huge axles and it built stout, big time.....The guys claim they are holding up very well.in all conditions.........

Like the rad at the back, No overheating issues, stout roll cage and the tubular frame is massive and well designed....imo.The new team clutchs put the power to the ground instantly, thats for sure....lol This machine had 30 roctanes on it and you could spin all 4 at will any time....
All in all quite a nice pair of machines for sure....The suspension and handling on the X is other worldly i must say again !!

Thanks to the guys again and i would highly suggest a ride with these guys if your in the market. Not many guys take you out for a rip in world class machines, with big tires and mods and let you TEST um !!! Add in a few refreshments, along the scenic macloed river for a test ride. On a FRIDAY NIGHT after work....

First class deal ............

Thanks man! No races yet, only thing I see at work is bears and miles and miles of skeg lol. Only time it's been out of low range is touring around with the fiancé at home around the lake. Joys of it being a work machine I guess.
