So I have been reading about the slide and haven't seen much in the meida due to flying out sunday morning on a trip! I was there that scary afternoon and was gona share my story but I'm not sure if that's such a good idea because of what they might turn it into!
What do you guys think?

That is an oppinion in its self. i have herd lots of storey from the guys down here and i really like taking the time to listen to them. as this is a way to get stuff off your cheast.

i think its a good idea for people to get first hand story from people involved and it makes people think. a while back one of the guys in the avy in frisbee in Revy wrote his story and that hit home and every time i read it i get tears in my eyes.

post your story in the appropriate thread........ Might as well get it off your chest, and would be good to see from another point of view:)

I say share your story if you are willing to deal with some that might not want to hear what really happened and what errors may have been made. It could be a great learning tool for rescue to hear what went right and wrong with that many involved in a search with varying skill levels. Most avalanche rescues are in smaller groups and even then panic and confusion can hamper efforts.

So I say post and help people learn from this tragedy.

The 2 that passed away in this avy were both friends of mine. I would very much like to hear as much as possible about that day. There is a lot of misinformation coming from the media and the more people that post what really happened that day the better. I love sledding myself and the loss of a couple of friends will definitely make me think twice about what i am doing when riding the mountains. My wife and a lot of relatives would prefer that my brothers and i quit mountain riding but we love it waaaaay too much. I will be out riding the first chance i get.:) I would again like to send my thanks to all that participated in the rescue and recovery of all involved. I will also pass on the positive comments made to Kurtis Reynolds wife when i see her tonight.

I for one say go ahead. I know who you are, and respect your talent, experience, and opinion. Please share your story and any thoughts you may have on what happened that day.

wow stray.....what can i say or for that fact anyone.... a group of us were going to come to bis ... we rode hunters range in friday and it was a deep over the hood stuck fest...... so when we got back to the truck we all agreed that the bis was out of the question.... to many risks..... plus i had a knot in my gut telling me somethin was going to happen..... when we got back to the truck on sat after goin back to hunters again and we heard what happenend.... well holy f i said to my self..... we all talked about stopin on sunday depending on how the search went and would go up to lend a hand even if that meant some risk.... its just what us skidooers do for others...... but when we stoped in revy they said everyone was out with the exception of the machines still burried.....

It would be nice to hear the story, it makes us all think a bit harder and hopefully slow us down. Troy good on ya for speaking and I understand some reasons for waiting. I can wait but one day I am sure there will be many stories.

Out of respect towards Shay And Curtis and their families these posts from people involved should wait untill after the last funeral on the 23rd.
I agree these are things that need to be talked about but a few more days won't hurt.
