Anyone run a DJ kit on their T3 last year ? Talked to roosterbuilt and they didn't have the T3 clutching 100% tested

Anyone in northern Alberta stock DJ Mountain ramps?
Have you considered 438 ramps that came stock on 2015's? I've seen pics side by side with DJ's ramps and they are very similar. Just a thought.

Save your money. I put in every (kit) mentioned here. My sled went worse than stock. I have two etec belt spitters so I wasn't actually looking for performance as much as belt life. After each clutch kit I tried I achieved neither. Turbo, Porting or a big bore is the way to go.

I ran it with the springs, ramps and weight DJ recommended. I found it pulled harder off the bottom and had great engine braking with slightly better back shift in a pull, but it's fairly close to stock. I ran the same kit in my turbo XP prior to this sled and was happy with the results as well. I would buy it again in the future, just my two cents.

I have the Rooster kit in my 2014 XM 163. I did take awhile to get it dialed in. Like someone said when I went with there initial suggestions. It was worse then stock. I talked to them via private message on here and last year I got it working great. First of all I geared it up as suggested but being 210 before gear that was a bad move. I went back to stock gearing and it was better but still not great. I ended up changing some weight and put different ramps in and it was very comparable to my buddies t3 163. Who is quite abit lighter then me. He was actually disappointed he had spent 6g to upgrade from his 2013 163. Great guys to deal with. Currently looking for another one for the 2013 if anyone has one.

Another sled or another kit? My 13 163 is forsale and the RB clutching is dialed in already.

Spitting belts may have nothing to do with the clutch setup. Clutch balance, crank runout, engine mounts, filthy clutch faces all can cause that.

I find it hard to believe that if you experienced this problem with a DJ kit that Joey didnt help you.

I too wasn't blown away with my rooster built clutching. Installed as they suggested(geared up). 2013, 154 x package. Nothing exotic. Im far from experienced with clutch tuning so I didn't mess with it. Ran around on clicker 4 most of the time, tried 5,6. felt like it RPMd better(7800 apposed to 7400 on clicker 4).

You need to remove some pin weight for elevation your riding at.
Like Tex said, 78-7900 rpm

Go with dynamo joe, you give him your weight and he sends you the kit. Put it in and forget about it. Hands down best kit there is and best guy to talk to on the phone.

I believe it! I was let down on a couple fresh powder days, looking down at the tach wondering why its not swinging the needle around 7900

^^ What they said. And one thing to consider is there is a big difference between 7800 on clicker 3 and 7800 on clicker 5. Take some weight out and get it running 7800-7900 on clicker 3 and you will be happier.

What he said.^^^^^ lower the clicker the flatter the ramp lays which pulls harder. Steeper (increased clicker) quicker RPM but pulls softer.
