Reversing Track

Was toying with idea of putting track on backwards. Whats the pros and cons? Lugs are folded over so I am curious.

More flotation with folded lugs. Reversing will trench more, but great for spring riding.

So it isn't really hard on track to reverse it? In the warm weather I had heck of a time on the hard surfaces.

I flip mine every 2 years and have been doing so for the last 2 sleds since 2008. keeps the paddles straight and digging hard. there are no cons, only pros.

folded paddles do not work well.

Really had it bad this year trying to climb some hard pack. The newer tracks sure work good but mine not so much. Will have to see how the year goes but still might try it just to see. Anyone else out there done it?

I use to every season it was back in the day when the paddles got lazy

I did notice that braking or slowing down was compromised when the arrow on the track was going the wrong way

Depending on the track the braking sucks! But they hook up on set up snow like crazy.

I had an 07 phazer mtx and reversed the track after the first ride, worked way better, but ya braking in set up snow was fun to say the least

The old attack 20 (I think what cat called them) in the m7’s a buddy did that. Climbed like crazy but was like a crazy carpet coming down.
