The Chinese place is really good. Highly recommend it. Sandman has a resureaunt/lounge if I recall. Griz is/was? Great. Haven’t been to Mcbride in over 3 years and tbh it’s mainly due to sub par accommodations, lack of hot tubs, and lack of restaurants and entertainment.

Might day trip saturday but have little to no desire to stay overnight.

ive gotten soft in my old age lol

That was my biggest problem with Mcbride. Was the lack of good restaurants. And really not the greatest hotels either. Good cabin rentals around the area thoug

Always had great food at Killen. Ray and his family are super hosts.
As for places to stay, stayed at North Country. I give it 50%. Also stayed at the sandman. Found it better parking WITH PLUG INS and comfy rooms. Nice thing too, breakfast downstairs. No hot tub, never a deal breaker for my family.

The Killen is always good, Raymond is one funny character. I found the Northcountry has gone down hill totally in the last 6 years. Im staying at the Bell Mountain Motel, Clean, and the people who own have put a lot of effort into fixing this up. Beaver creek cabins are good, At home Bed and breakfast. The Grizz is opening up with new ownership and new menu.

Ate at Killen for the first time on Saturday and it really was good. 3 person plate was just enough food for 3 guys.

Friday night buffet is awesome at the Kilin, Raymond puts out some really tasty dishes, been enjoying his cooking and humour for years and never disappointed.

Yew they are open. The menus is limited baut the food is great. They are still working out the kinks. Hopefully they can make a go of it. Mcbride needs a place like the Griz to draw back the sledders.

Ate at the Griz Friday night. They had just opened Thursday February 14. Menu was short, interesting (?) selections for a pub in a small town, no burger or chicken wings. The food was all decent, a couple guys had the steak and said it was great. Draft beer selection is right on. All craft beer from Valemount (Three Ranges Brewery) The waitress said that the new owners are busy working out the kinks. I wish them luck because McBride needs something like the Griz.

At at Kilin Sunday night. Food was delicious and plentiful and the Owner is hilarious.
