Rest in Peace Tom Clancy

I have enjoyed many a rainy or frozen outside day curled up inside reading his books or watching his movies. I found him to be one of the better authors of fiction and wonder who will fill those shoes. Mr. Clancy along with the late Robert Ludlum were I think the best spy authors of all time and will be sorely missed

I think the book I liked the best would have been Without Remorse, classic revenge story, for a movie, Hunt for Res October

I believe he passed not much earlier than this thread was posted. He was one author that I always went back to. The entire Jack Ryan series is excellent. Without Remorse was one of the best too, John Kelly was the original Jack Reacher type character, and would have loved to see that book made into a movie. I always felt Tom's writing was done with such background and depth, that each story could plausibly happen. Will certainly miss his works.

If you google it paramount has the rights and it looks like they are tapping Tom Hardy for the role of John Kelly and Kevin Costner for William Harper.
