Some of the bike guys have been running a Cyclops LED, thinking about one for the bike.

HID's are awesome. On my '08 I had hid high beam with a piggy back halogen low beam. Worked good, then on my '16 I put a set of LED's on, but I wasn't overly impressed, couldn't penetrate through the snow when I was snowing, and no heat to keep the lenses cleaned off. I switched to the HID with the hi/ low this summer. Once we get some snow, I can get out and them aimed and be good to go.

Without a doubt HID. LED are good but still in its infancy, a lot of bugs to work out still

I had a Silverstar Ultra in my old Summit. It was much better than the original bulb and supposedly more durable. I plan on putting one in my bike but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I've used xenon fusion bulbs in 4 sleds before, used to River nite ride lots

Best bulb out of the many I tried, so much better I had to aim them down, and you could see hidden holes, shadows ect, like seeing in flat light kind of thing

Best of the best are PIAA. They have a motorsport specific bulb that resists vibration better. If stock bulbs are a 3, Nighthawks and silverstars are a solid 6, the PIAA's are a 9. They are the whitest white (4000K) you'll get before going blue like the Eurolites above. LED's as mentioned are poor in dust and snowy conditions due to the glare. A good HID should set you back a couple hundred, cheaper ones may not work well in the cold. But therein lies the catch with PIAA, they are not cheap, and the powersport versions are not in auto stores like JB's. Expect $75/bulb. Mine have been in my street bike for almost 15 years.

The blue of the light is the difference in the shadows ect compared to white light, also have had this pair of bulbs in two different sleds, so probably 10000 miles on the same bulbs and counting

And 25 bucks for the pair to boot

nighthawk ultra is head over heals ahead of the silverstars.... they are par with the PIAA's easily. regular nighthawks or the nighthawk platinums are a step down. the PIAA's and the nighthawk Ultra are almost par with HID lights.

Not anymore. Under $50 on FleaBay with 2 ballasts, 2 bulbs and a relay harness. Once you have HID you will never go back to conventional bulbs of any kind
