Don't shoot the messenger. Posting this here as I know some of you aren't on FB .

From the MBCSA website.
Well seeing that the snow is sticking to the hills now and everyone is getting ready to exercise the itchy throttle thumb with some early season rides thought we'd better update our situation with the Renshaw trail bridge.
Here's where we're at right now, we have finally gotten an engineering report that needs to be satisfied and the bridge needs to be replaced and new abutments installed. 2 recommendations have been proposed, one being temporary repairs to the bridge the other being a snow bridge that will see the trail open this winter.
As of now the gate will remain closed and the trail most likely won't be opened until we're ready to groom from the parking lots. So if you're thinking about that early ride up Renshaw you can forget about it at the moment as even if repairs are made to the bridge there will be no wheeled vehicles allowed to cross the bridge.
We understand that this isn't what anyone wants to hear so please keep the negative comments to yourself we are working hard to get the trail opened for the season. Thanks.

If it wasn't my daughter's Birthday this weekend. I would've gone.
Hopefully they get a good turnout and all the help they need.

Thanks to all they folks that went and did this so we can enjoy riding.

The Renshaw bridge has been repaired, there just waiting for engineers approval.

The Lucille and Bell parking lots have 1' of new snow. Rod W is hoping to start grooming both by Sunday.
Renshaw possibly start setting this up as well. Guys are up on Belle and Lucille already. Speculating about a 3' base on belle.

From MBCSA,
Good news today everyone, our bridge passed inspection and access to the Renshaw is open.
The MBCSA has been working hard for the past 5 months to make this happen, and it wouldn't have, without the help of numerous individuals, businesses and organizations. We would like to extend our many thanks and appreciation to and in no particular order ;

Mac Cochrane (who spearheaded our project with his expertise and enthusiasm)

Rich Boyz Mechanical and Towing ( who without hesitation offered to haul our bridge modules from locations in the valley and Prince George)

Can-Crane Specialists- Prince George ( on short notice Mike came thru and donated his time and crane to load our truck in PG)

D & T Industrees ( also without hesitation Darvin came out on his day off to load our truck with bridge modules)

Norm Lorenz ( again came thru for us to supply the equipment to replace the bridge modules )

Ministry of Forests ,Lands, Natural Resource Operations and Rural Development ( who supplied us with the bridge modules)

BC Timber Sales (who also supplied us with bridge modules)

Ski-Doo Snow P.A.S.S. grant program and Ski-Doo and the dealer network ( Thank you for picking our little club and providing us with some much needed funding)

Recreation Sites and Trails BC

McBride Community Forest Corporation

And the many volunteers who came to help - you know who you are !!

I Got rid of FB years ago, I get my fake news on here now, the conspiracy thread is booming with it.
Thanks for the pic, looks like things are going well for the Club. I’m thankful the weather held out for them.
And here I thought you had unfriended me!

It was mentioned that the renshaw trail needs more snow and a 3ft min depth to fill in the deactivation ditches.

Forecast looks promising for this week. Cold and a bunch of snow. I'm headed out Friday night. Hopefully they can get a pass or two in by then. Otherwise will have to bring a kidney belt i guess
