Don't shoot the messenger. Posting this here as I know some of you aren't on FB .
From the MBCSA website.
Well seeing that the snow is sticking to the hills now and everyone is getting ready to exercise the itchy throttle thumb with some early season rides thought we'd better update our situation with the Renshaw trail bridge.
Here's where we're at right now, we have finally gotten an engineering report that needs to be satisfied and the bridge needs to be replaced and new abutments installed. 2 recommendations have been proposed, one being temporary repairs to the bridge the other being a snow bridge that will see the trail open this winter.
As of now the gate will remain closed and the trail most likely won't be opened until we're ready to groom from the parking lots. So if you're thinking about that early ride up Renshaw you can forget about it at the moment as even if repairs are made to the bridge there will be no wheeled vehicles allowed to cross the bridge.
We understand that this isn't what anyone wants to hear so please keep the negative comments to yourself we are working hard to get the trail opened for the season. Thanks.
