Renshaw avalanche conditions

conditions will change lots between today and the 24th.

Make sure to always check http://www.avalanche.ca/sled for the latest forecasts, and check with the locals, Spindrift will always tell you what they have heard about conditions in the alpine.

As the avalanche conditions seem to be a lot different here in McBride compared to that of valemount it is tough to go by the cac forecast. They more a less group us in the north Columbia as they currently have little info on the north rockies which is what renshaw is in. That being said today lori and another avalanche person are up renshaw checkin out our snow pack so will keep people posted on what they found.

That's pretty fair information, before Christmas we rode Renshaw and then Lucelle....major difference and there normally is.

There should be a report from what the CAC found yesterday up on there blog anytime now.

The CAC blog didn't really say anything definite. Judging by what our guests and locals with avalanche training are saying, you are probably best to assume the avalanche risk in Renshaw is HIGH and ride accordingly. There are still lots of places to ride safely.
