removing throttle cable

installing throttle cable on 07 summit xrs got thumb and carb cable of having a hard time seeing where the other cable ends up and what do i all have to take off to get to it.
any ideas or suggestions thanx

I think the other one goes to your oil pump. Can be real hard to get at. Should have a little cerclip holding to on the oil pump lever arm. ( don't lose it under the motor when it pops off)

Not sure about the 07 but my 08 xp had to pretty much striped of everything to change it out.

I think GODwell posted a while ago, you have to take off the exhaust and your mount nuts, then roll the engine ahead a little to make it easier.

Just goin' off memory here, might wanna search cable replacement and look for a post by Maxwell

Other cable goes to your oil pump as said before. There is a circlip and a washer on the end of it. Need to roll the cable towards the oil pump to pull out of the slot. Will have to pull air box, carbs, and maybe the reeds depending on size of hands running the tools(I had to pull reeds) I didn't have to roll the engine, but I also use long needle nose pliers to install the clip.
