So last night i went to remove my clutch on my 08 163 to clean it and check it over ( normaly do every 500 k or so) but this time it wasnt right it dont want to come off got the puller as tight as i could and hit it with a hammer and nothing finaly heated it up a bit and it came off after a while! It doesnt seem right it should have come off easier than that any one else had this problem?

Have had that problem happen more than once, sometimes it comes off easy some others is stubbern, pulled mine off today in an unheated garage (just put lots of grease on the end and on the treads, more than usual) and came off super easy, when clutches are stubbern to come off i just take the puller back out add more grease then i add heat, usually works.

I think you have it backwards...if it comes off easy, I would be worried that something is wrong...

Lots of people have trouble getting them off using a puller, so the 'water trick' is your best bet...Tons of threads on here about pulling the primary on XPs

X2 on the water trick, works like a charm, i couldnt get the primary off of my 09 xp for the life of me, tried the water trick and it popped right off, no effort at all.
