I was wondering if I could just unbolt one rail at a time with the skid still in or would it just be better to take the skid out? Thx in advance for any advice and marry Christmas! The sleds 08 m8

You could do it while it is still in the sled but it would be much easier with the skid removed. While you are doing the exchange now would be a good time to clean up all the bolts and bushings and pack it all in new grease, also easier to check and replace any seized up grease zerks....thats the way I would do it!

Rip it out. It will take you 4 hrs to do it in the sled and 40 mins out of the sled. Its only a ratchet strap and 4 bolts to get it out.

X2 - what he said. :) Also check all of your wheel bearings while you're in there.
