Release injector pressure?

It says in the manual that you have to take the sled and hook it up to buds to release the pressure on the injectors. Anybody know a way around this, or do you even have to?? Just about to pull my top end off and I've done a million carbed 2 strokes, but never the etec.

Are you taking the voice coils off the head? If not just remove the head and don't worry about the injectors. Just remove the lines on the fuel pump at tank. Done it several times and didn't have any issues.

Yes, have to strip the head... So, have to pull the injectors off the head

got it figured out... Just remove fuel lines from injectors, very little pressure stored
