SOOOO SOOOO True. That part about the seniors just kills me. We wouldn't allow animals to live the way some seniors do... I see alot of the same juxtaposition and abuse in the hospitals. I know not all immigrants are bad, but there sure are alot of them who are overburdening our healthcare with their myriad issues and refusing to try and learn english so that we can even communicate with them and find out what their symptoms are. Meanwhile, the waiting lists for procedures grows longer and the goverment makes new cuts to Hospital Staffing, Aids To Daily Living, Homecare subsidies and prescription drug coverage... How does that work?
Ooh so true, I am currently booking a Hip procedure for a friend in the States because he is on a waiting list here; they will not give him a time frame. He contributed to the system for many years and cannot even use it when he needs it most; WTF! This is the Alberta advantage?
