At this time of year, many people like to reflect on the past and count their blessings, such as good health, a new job promotion, or maybe the fact that the good looking 25 year old down the street is not shagging your loved one. There is one thing I am thankful for - the new microwave oven. Let's say you put some soup in there for 2 minutes, the unit will beep a certain amount of times (our's is 4) to let you know it's finished. However, our's will beep 3 times about a minute later as a reminder that there's something still in there, if you've forgotten about it. (Our old one didn't do that.) Now I can put some soup in, get side tracked by this forum, and have the unit beep at me to remind me of the delicious meal awaiting in the microwave.

For this, I am thankful.

Yes things are looking up for sure..
Does your microwave oven beep as well? It would sure be a coincidence if it does:).
It also occurred to me that my refrigerator also has a feature that will remind me to close the door as well should I get "sidetracked"
Actually it's a very gentle relaxing continuous "bing, bing, bing" I know this as I catch myself listening for a moment or so in the kitchen. We eat a lot of chicken and pork so fortunately these little reminders save us from eating spoiled foods. Isn't technology great?
As a side note My dog also is attracted to this sound however I suspect she has ulterior motives......
