Meh spill it.

Why not.

I dont think ktm is that out of line. He has posted an honest review of his experience with this product. I appreciate that. If the kit is inferior to the other kits out there then perhaps it will steer someone looking to buy a kit towards something that will be a more positive experience. It seems like there is a lot of pride involved in these things. If someone owns brand x, they will defend it no matter what. Ive seen this happen a lot with other brands as well.

Not that I want to drag Rene further into this mess, but one thing I really appreciate about him is that he is a straight shooter. He will give a straight answer regardless of who it offends. I dont know what his arrangement is with CM or BRP, but look at the honest feedback he has given on the G4s. I like that. Product representation needs that kind of honesty and integrity......not like old Norona the noodle posting videos about removing clutch cover foam. So if he is telling people that his redline kit sucks so it sits in the shop, thats not a personal attack on the maker of the kit, its an honest review.

It’s an attack when he calls the guy a f.u.cking idiot and knows nothing wouldn’t you say? I totally agree with the brand love though lol that will never change.

I agree that was unnecessary. I think some of the things said towards ktm were much more out of line. Maybe thats why he escalated things? I dont know. If someone took the time to find out where I worked and then called me a half retarded oil change mechanic I would probably be a little angry too.

Pretty sure he escalated it before that.
Whole thread could have easily been summarized that he was disappointed that he could not pull fuel with the redline fuel controller. 99% sure we didn't need to get into the personal stuff.

And I had to take a look cause I thought for a minute that NASA had opened a shop in Fort McMurray.

Lost of jabs thrown here and most all of them unnessicary, just a sad thread for sledders in general

Always two sides too a story and then the truth... From the beginning it was very clear we thought and then went sideways by each post to a point it was unclear, video to me was not out of scope for any turbo sled I have run, if your playing between primary and secondary fueling curves, that has always been some overlap, but who drives a sled like that.. So to me that's a norm, and I have had my 850 stocker make same garble this last week, but learn to drive threw it and carry on..

lots of variables in running a turbo sled, not always correct to blame the builder, as I just blew up a 850 in stock fourm and if turboed it we all know would of been blamed as the kits fault..

I will agree my self some **** I said is to much but to my defence I gave Dave a chance to fix it and was told it’s normal and felt brushed aside. I was offer d to do R&D and turned it down yes. I have had and worked on lots of turbo sleds and I didn’t revive close to what I was promised. I had a lot of money into this to do it right. Brand new motor (mine still ran and had warranty but was miles for a turbo) new reeds, new clutch (same deal as motor) upgrades shocks , plus some small stuff. I talked to Dave on the phone for an hour before doing this sled and explained fuel mapping was most important and I don’t care about perk up. Also asked him to be straight with me about the fuel mapping cuz I’ve helped fix many turbos in the passed with similar issues. I put over 10K into this sled after he assured me it would be perfect. I should have went with my gut instinct and build a seccond Axys dice I like that chassis better anyway. The fact his story change and he lie to me a couple times pissed me big time.

i will go and post some videos of how a real turbo kit works later it’s not even comparable. Got about 20 perfect days on my Axys this year and 40 last year and the Xm has been perfect since it went boondocker

So I talked with Dave on the phone for almost an hour today about this. He said when I first complained about the sled he thought I was being picky and it was the typical etec bobble pre spool. He said after seeing the video it had an issue 100%. He said he’s sure what it why but working on it. He apologized multiple times as did I and he said he definitely understood why I got so made just wishes he could have fixed it. He said he understands not wanting to do testing in my machine and my trips. He said he has some new probducts coming out to have control over stock injectors and have seccondary for high boost also and a very focused on fuel mapping and flash tunes have crossed his mind too. He said he has lots of demos and my self or others are more then welcome to try them and made a few offers as he felt bad I lost a lot of money.

when you call him ask him about how he has a redline XM he won’t ride cuz it has no end and throttle response is horrible and he won’t ride it. He put 2 days on it and has no interest and even after 2 days his wiring harness coming from the stator is all melted and the plastic around that the 2 harness clip into are melted all to ****.

Any idea on what is causing the heat issue with Rene's sled?

Any indication if it's gonna be a cracked ecm or some sorta boondocker type deal?

He said aid he agrees with the bennifits of flash tuning and ability to adjust timing and it is a consideration. The other thing is a box that has control of stock injectors and seccondary set also and has a lot more options like possibly boost by throttle. Some other options too but I will leave that to Dave to put out when he wants.

I've had 2 redline boxes the g2 and now the g3 - just dropped my sled off at Redline on dec23 - hit a rock at eagle totalled my front end - 5 day turn around on repairs from Dave which is great but if I drive 9 hrs to eagles and have any issues with my sled popping and farting - I'm drop kicking my g3 box into the woods and trying the boondocker box - I've talked to a couple people at eagle cabin about my issues and they all are telling me to drop kick the redline box into the trees and go boost it - but that is crappy cuz they shut the doors - they also said to mix my AV gas 100:1 with cheap 2 stroke oil
