Your best bet would probably be to take it to a shop that does both. Iv had good luck with perfection powder coatings

where's a good(and cheap) place in Edmonton to get a rear bumper off of a summit, sandblasted for powdercoating?

Call Dean @ The Powder Station, I think he does both Ric, he does awesome work, and has done lots of stuff for Ron and for VARDA/McBride Big Country

What ever you do, do not use the powder station unless you want unprofessional customer service and enjoy getting the run around. I tried to use him just because of the posts on here, but ended up waiting 3.5 weeks for my call back to confirm the price on a specific powder I wanted to have brought in so it would match the rest of the powder coating on my wife's sled. When I did get ahold of him I was ball parked $150 for 1lb of powder that you can see on prismatics site for under $15. I understand that there is exchange and shipping...... But 10x the cost of the powder??? I was still even considering going threw him just cause I wanted to have her sled done. I called him 4 times within a 2 week period trying to get him to give me confromation that it could be done and was always told I would hear back from him within the hour... Never heard back. If this is how the service is on the phone, just imagine how it would be once your parts get there. I have used many powdercoaters, and this is the bottom of the barrel.

on the plus side, I decided to give perfection powdercoatings a try and so far have nothing but great things to say. The same 1lb package of powder shipped with exchange was merely $35. Way better than deans $150. The turn around time is expected to be as it should (3 days from the time the powder arrived) and hopefully the finial product is too.

I just thought I would would try to help promote the people who deserve your business, and inform you of my experience with the people who will never get my business.

rant over lol

Great experience with Daryl at DOC Performance. Have used him for a couple of sleds now. His turnaround time is reasonable and quality has been top notch.

I have heard nothing but bad things from powder station customer service as well, from at least 5 people, maybe he treats a few people good but regular peasants like 90% of us get the run around and raped on pricing

My buddy used to get all of his coating done by Dean at Powderstation (and by "all", I mean a LOT), but after constant runarounds, etc. He gave up. Saying things would be done a certain day, and then not even being started. Just everything. So, he went and purchased his own little setup that works amazing!!

Needless to say, I will also never use Powderstation!!

I am so pleased to hear that I am not the only one dealing with his terrible (at best) business tactics. I have 2 sleds that I have coated everything from tunnels to ski spacers and everything in between. This is not even mentioning the countless other toys that have parts on them that have been in other company's oven's. The thought of a business man acting as he does is a laugh. I would like to say that I hope he turns things around, but I just can't see it. Stay clear, there are so many others out there who would love to have your business today, and down the road as well.

Nothing but great service from The Powder Station, some people cant be pleased.

and some are just willing to deal with terrible service and threw the roof quotes while keeping their blinders on to prevent them from seeing what professionalism is.

you sir, are a different man than me

Can check out Synergy coatings in Leduc right down from my shop. They do really nice work, we sent parts there the odd time.
