ratcheting track

i just had my new cat out for its first rides last weekend in revy and on my last day of riding when i got in the deep the track started ratcheting, skipping. Do i just need to tighten it or is there another problem?

you better check the track tension first..... I suspect it will need tightened, but, if it has ratcheted for too long, damage to the drivers(teeth) may have occured too????

I agree. it most likley needs tightening. When I picked mine up they told me it should sag about 1.5-2 inches. If i kept mine closer to 1.5 i never had any racheting. Sometimes snow build up will give the sound and sensation of racheting as well.

scrfce just a couple turns to tighten it,not to much cause then you start to lose hp when it is to tight,Where are you going to test it tomorrow?We'll be up the # 5 and it is unreal went last sunday and went back wendsday to, friggin 5' of pow no base or never found the base .Didnt hit a thing either.

goin for dinner with my bud here right away and we re gonna make a game plan, but headin up 5 is what we re most likely gonna do. Prob gonna have to go to chapel cause its the only place im familiar with. I ll check back later and let ya know

hey powder wher u headed? im goin up to blue, leavin at about 6. Anytime u go by shoot me a msg i never pass up the chance to ride, plus i live just off the highway half hour north of the loop so i got a head start.

We are going to Clearwater.Gotta be at least 20 " in town now.Read Chappel was bombed out,but it's hard to believe.Either way were scratchin the itch,3 times in 6 days should cure it,well mabye not....

clearwater doesnt have 20 inches fresh they had 3 inches fresh maybe whne i left school

All together in the last week,there should be at least that much Butt Cheeks (Sun peaks) got 27 cm in 24 hrs.Its going to be sick.

there was a pile a pow at clearwater, tons! the track worked like a charm. Powderslut u wer right went to raft it was awesome! endless powder, untouched, we had to break trail all day and didnt see a single person out there all day. Ill be visiting there lots more this year, and its only an hour from my place:d:d:d:d:d:d:d

Sweet we were there also .Were you guys in a black Chevy or GMC 1/2 ton with a trailer.There were 6 of us there,we went straight to East Raft broke trail in,waited 1 hr for the next guy to show up in our group,Shoveled , chopped wood lite a fire then the rest started to show up.Waited 1 1/2 hrs there before everybody made it to the cabin.Then went to ride and my carbs were frozen solid.Took about an hour to thaw out,was the snow getting wind f**ked on the west side?Super windy when we came out of the trees on the east.We will have to hook up and ride when this bitterly cold leaves.

this happened to me at renshaw last year i have a 2008 800 polaris dragon but the make and model does not matter the problem is that ice formed on my rear bogie wheels solution turn track very fast out of the snow or remove ice any other way it has only happened once but now i know that my track was doing the same racheting jumping merry xmas 2 u marcel

we were in the GM with the trailer. Yeah the mountain face was wind packed, but down below in the meadows and area was fun s hell. We were gonna check out the west side but just explored around the cabin and area, never been there before so we didnt want to getout there to far and not know how to get back. We had a fire to, looked like a nice new cabin. i ll be goin back fo sho. No doubt on hookin up for a ride, lemme know when u head out. I might be goin to crowffot tomorrow if my bud can swing it with the wife
