I’m working on this blizzard right now and I think it’s one of the 12 rare ski doo blizzards with front ifs. Any pics of this sled would be helpful to help me figure out if this is one of those sleds.
Ya this isn’t one of them. Someone put a Polaris front ifs on this 78 blizzard to make it look like the cross country sleds that Gerard had built. Still a cool look sled and should be a blast to ride. It’s got a 583 for power lol. Thanks for the replies.Gerard Karpik built with the help of the race shop some Cross country Blizzards as well. It was very cool and kicked butt on the race circuit
We actually made some cash on those sleds. We put 440 LC motors in them from the Blizzard 9500's and they flew pretty good in the stubble fields. You are right though. They would get stuck easy and were heavy.Your not talking about the old Blizzard MX now are you. They were rare, powered by a 500 fan and 116" track. They were strictly trail use, 6" of snow got them stuck.
It had the full IFS and I agree with Snowpro, what your saying sounds like a bastard sled, one of a kind.
