Ranger 800 doesnt want to start when cold

Runs fine in every other regard. Just doesnt want to start when its even a little bit cold. Plus 5 or less. It seems like if it can catch on the first little fire it will go, but if it doesnt it wont at all. Pulled the plugs to see what was happening and they were dry. Put a little gas in the plughole and she fired right up. So tells me the EFI is not giving additional fuel on cold startups. Any ideas? Hoping its just a temp sensor gone that isnt telling the computer to give additional fuel at startup.

Check your ground on the battery. Takes a bit of juice to turn them over especially when cold. My kids quad is a bugger when it's cold to, battery could be weak.

It seems to turn over fine. Or could it still be too low for other functions and still turn over ok?

My 850 was acting the same. Turned out to be one of the air intake sensors. The computer showed it as an event but never gave a warning light or diag code.

I kind of figured this is what it was. I had taken the sensor out before I posted this thread and cleaned it with no change. I was just about to order another one, but decided to try 1 more time. Took it out and gave it a REAL good cleaning with sensor cleaner. Seemed to do the trick. She starts no problem now.

I didn't have issues starting but RPM revving up/down and then could not change gears. I googled it and after about an hr reading found it was a sensor in the intake so bought some cleaner and sprayed the crap out of it and runs awesome now. I guess need to keep those sensors clean.
