Ram 2500 with rear coils

I’m running a 2010 Dodge 2500 Diesel CC with Timbrens and I love them! Running a deck for my sleds, but using a bigger tire 35x12.5x18. Truck runs stable with them.

Looking at bagging my 20182500 ram so I can pick up a Raptor with a 3200lb pin weight. What bags should I buy. Not looking for adding compressor just the manual pump type.

Where have you typically mounted the compressor? They say frame rail for cooling purposes, but would think it’s going to get wet there..

I had frame rail mounted with the air intake routed into the engine bay. Never had a problem

Megacab doesn’t have this compartment, there is ample room in the storage bins at the back.....definitely a compact compressor...surprised how small they are.

I bought and installed the Airlift 1000 (cheapo option). Went in easy and the test drive @ 20psi felt great. 30min later I had 0psi. it was winter and I didnt have the time or nrg to find the leak. A month later I removed the spare tire, crawled under and discovered a hole in the bag big enough to put my hand through. Maybe that was from running it with no air for a month.... my fault? I dont know.

I love the idea of airbags but I bought timbrens and will try them now. Maybe AirLift will warranty my setup and I will try again.

I have 5000 ultimates on my 14 2500 mega. Been on it for 3 years. Minor leakdown in really cold temps at the bag fitting but a real set of airline fittings work to solve that in place of the shark bite style.

Truck rides a bit firmer with the bags and being empty but slot nicer than a 3500. I have the dual path wireless air compressor. Compressor is mounted on drivers side, inside frame rail behind cab. Hasn't given me issues and I've run over 100km on a mix of gravel and highway.

Wireless controller is nice. 5psi change makes a big difference and I fine tune way more than I thought I would. I usually use rule of about 40lbs payload per psi of air and it gets me close. I thought about adding a self levelling valve to make it fully automatic but decided to not add more complexity. Instsll is about a 6-8 hour job for a backyard mechanic who haven't done it before. Bags are quick compressor took alot longer.

Would use airlift again. When I bought the firestones were a smaller bag and reduced suspension travel. Reviews said they generally rode a little rougher. Check airlifts website if you buy..I ended up with $225 back in rebates from coupons.

So ended up deciding I wasn’t to keen on the self tapping screws they want you to use into the frame. So I made a bracket to hold the parts. Ubolt hold the one side they other bolt through existing hole. Turned out pretty good. Just need to finish the wiring...didn’t drill one hole.
