My wife and I are planning a little trip on the bikes this summer. Chances are that we will eventually meet up with a rain shower of some sort. I am looking for some rain gear that is both high-visibility and of decent quality. We are traveling to Edmonton this weekend and hope to find some options. Does anyone know of any of the local shops that have a decent selection to chose from?

Thanks.

Klim makes some very nice riding gear that will work for what your looking for.
I use Olympia gear, a little less money then Klim but performs just the same as Klim. I have seen people use standard rain gear the problem is it won't give you the same protection at speed or if you dump, also not very comfortable when your riding long distances. Some will even catch wind making riding a hazard.
Good riding gear is expensive but a must IMO when your riding long distances, i ride adventure style so long distances in the rain is part of it.

Wetskinz from Costco costs 60 bucks and works as well as any of the expensive stuff I've ever had.

Argyle motor-sports always has rack of riding gear on clearance, might be some rain gear there.

We got ours years ago at a Harley dealer. Quality GoreTex with reflective badging and folds up nicely in a pouch for easy stowing in a saddle bag.

HD stopped selling the gore tex suit, was called pac-lite. their rip stop nylon 2 piece suits are decent, but not gore tex anymore.

No. Same brand but the suits we bought were around the $50 mark. Still using the jackets we bought 10 years ago. Both of our pants have had to be replaced. They are pretty light weight and the jacket has zippers for air flow. We also have a few first gear jackets that work well. They are vented jackets with liners that are waterproof. Great for traveling if you are limited for space. I’ve comfortably worn the mesh layer while it is +34 and with the liner down to about -5. Also stayed dry in rain all day but they are a $500-600 jacket.

My Hi Vis Tourmaster jacket is waterproof, tested for 5+ hours in the worst rain Ive ever rode in(Creston to Kelowna). I have Frogg Toggs rain paints and they worked great!! Both from FortNine!!
