Was at Radium on the weekend and had a great time with the family. Never thought I would climb a mountain without a sled!
Got some good exercise and great views/pictures.
My middle daughter kept up at Kicking Horse Teminator 2 and in the end out climbed me at Bugaboo the next day.

Just the thousands of internet tourists that flock there now. It was rebuilt a bit after the big flood they had a few years ago but the area being filled with dirty hippies and broken glass hasn't changed. lol.

We were there well before they built the stairs, and then just after the stairs down to the hotspring were built... there were several locals in the pools the 3 or 4 times we were there, and I believe they were Scandinavian descent, and interesting to talk to and try to understand(heavy accents).

Some great hikes in the kootenay park also, stanley glacier, Rock wall traverse (multi day).
Some more technical hikes are Farnham tower, mt nelson .
If you enjoy paddling the columbia from Invermere to Radium or Edgewater is very nice. Good fishing for small mouth bass in the wetlands too.
Easy hike is mt swansea.
Cliff jumping at twin lakes behind mt swansea if you need an adrenaline rush. Upper cliff is 100'ish....
If you like to fly you can get a ride in a glider plane at the airport.
