Radio's for the mountains

What are people using for radio's in the mountains sledding. Looking to get a couple

I have a Baofeng UV-82 I like those because you can program it and use it for RR channels to talk with loggers ext.


BCA radios are good quality but only for "family" channels

Garmin Rhinos are good if your friend all run them too, for the tracking feature. cant talk to loggers though.

Go to Brian Cavanaugh for the baeofangs he's a beauty - I just picked up the cord and software to program for the baeofangs off eBay for cheap - gonna give that a go soon - I want more privacy channels on mine - rather than just 4.20 or 10.4 etc

Any of you guys using the Trail teck GPS system that Polaris uses? It seems to let you track your buds. How do you like it ?
