Ive always been the one who drives for most things. Every case is a little diferent though for me. Most of the time im driving alone to meet some guys in say revy or vale, so more often then not, we park one vehicle and only use one, and seeing how my one buddy has a heated enclosed, we use his set up. So if i dont grab a tank of fuel, i make sure im buying breakfast, dinner, drinks. we dont really keep tabs on who owes who what, just take turns paying for ch!t as it comes up. But when its my turn, Ive never once asked anyone for anything.

Whatever formula you and your friend have that works for them is what works. The snow and mud group each puts in a set amount and when it runs out we all put in again. Whoever drives their rig goes free. I pay my money and love the ride.

I run a 6.0lt GMC 3500, towing a 28ft inclosed. When I take guys with me, I pay for the gas the whole trip. then once back add up all the gas and divid by however many including myself. then if they feel it needed and they chip in extra for use of my truck/trailer I accept the extra. I look at it as I bought the big truck and the big trailer so I can go ride where evers, so I still need to pay my share in the gas. haveing the extra room for 3 others is a bonus on my pocket to cheapen the trip.

sounds like you guys need to move a little closer to the hills.....longest drive we got is like 100km one way, and that is just for early season riding.
take care of yourself, get yourself to the hill, one guy brings the right handed ciggerettes, other guy brings the lefties.....done deal.
i feel for you guys!!!!!

My buddy usually takes his truck and trailer and I pay for the suite both nights. We use his trailer as it is a 3 place and mine is only a 2 place enclosed as his 22 year old son comes now. I usually bring the rum and pay for one meal and his son buys breakfast one morning and brings some beer for when we get off the hill. We each split the rest of the meals and obviously our sled fuel. So far everything works out and we all get along.

Maybe you need to move closer Clarky! If I don't ride from the house, I drive 10 kms to the staging area. On a road trip (say to Fernie), the staging area is 70 kms. Man, I'm spoiled, eh!

My trip yesterday was 20K each way.

I just kinda want in on this bragging session... :D:D

Long trips (Golden etc) we split costs all ways, nobody gets anything extra for owning a truck. Works for our group. Your mileage may vary...
