question about electric start

I am going to be getting an electric start as i hate having to start it everytime i knoe lazy but thats woman for ya was wondering if its possible and or risky to get a used one or is it safer to just get a brand new kit for it?

Alot less risk to buy new. If you are not in a rush sometimes you can find one that was taken off a new sled. Personally I would buy new.
