All these apps require everyone to use the same one. Cross platform they don't work really well. Would be nice if there evolved a standard that was data driven, not SMS (charge the hell out of you) bend over from the carriers.

ya this i agree with forsure. they are slowly getting better at least.

Having a good understanding of the technology, I can understand why it's hard. The biggest disappointment is that since there is so much money at stake, and everyone wants the patent on the 'great' idea, no one wants to promote another standard or method as they end up having to pay (royalty) for the integration into their platform.
