Quartz for kids

Would like to take my 8 year old to quartz. What are the conditions like there. Just wanna go to cabin area and the meAdow areas. Think it's safe there for that. Also how late into the year can we ride there. Between spring hockey and work hard to find time. Any info is great. Thanks Vince

what does he ride i would take him on a nice trail ride on the blaeberry trail if he is riding with you quarts should be great stay on the north of the cabin

Sorry should've mentioned he's riding a trail 550 with 136 inch track

I've seen kids in the alpine at quartz with small 120's and kitty kats. If you get too late in the spring the creeks start flowing and the trail in might get a bit trashed in places.

Go whenever. The trail doesn't start to thaw until mid April I will say. Quartz is a great area just because of the groomed trail up to the cabin. Just keep a eye out for idiots on the trails. Good to see some youth hitting the hill, I was 10 with a 500 out there. That was back before it was groomed and it was a single track to the cabin from the bridge..
