What are the trails like by Outwest campground in Rocky Mountain House? We usually go to Alder Flats and like lots of mud?

how is the area out there now sum54x? We were around Tay river , this last week and all the muddy trails that were 2 feet deep last year in August, were bone dry this this past week. I was amazed at how dry everything was, almost as bad as riding at the bighorn

Im from the area. Ive ridden the area for 25 years and its no lie when i tell you that I find trails every day that I have not ridden yet. It has every type of terrain rideable from bottomless skeg to insane hill climbs everything in between

Thanks. Do you know if there are any maps of the trails?

I agree tex, can't let him lead and can't let him bring up the rear either cause somebody has to pull his azz out when he falls over in the puddles.

The area is to vast to map. You would need a trail sign every kilometer to coordinate it to a map. There is literally an intersection every km for many miles in every direction. A GPS and a nut sack is all that's required.

I rode this area back in 2005? It's a great area to Ride for sure. It's a big area! Lots and lots of trails and varying terrain. Take a Gps with you.

I was just out there for the first time. They're not kidding when they say theres another trail crossing yours every km. You could go and ride easy with some kids or rip it up too. Looks like lots of varying terrain.

Like everyone says trails are endless and terrain is from one end to the other. Our family and another own and run 752 west which is just before u go up the hill to outwest. We are around every weekend and are happy to show newer people the area. Pm me or come and check us out. 403-845-9275 is the campground office.
