Even with my '06 Chev 3500 CCLB SRW I will be over my GVWR very easily once the 5th comes along.
9900lbs GVWR
7480lbs me and full tank of diesel
= 2420lbs for payload, hitch, my wife and our two dogs, etc.
My GAWRs are:
F- 4800lbs
R- 6500lbs
actual weight
f.axle is 4444lbs
r.axle is 3036lbs
2420-90(wife)-75(2 dogs)= 2255
2255-200(5th hitch)= 2055lbs for pin weight of the 5th That's a friggin joke for a 1-ton.
My "E" rated tires are good for 6830lbs (3415lbs each@ 80psi), I have another 1000lbs left on the r. gawr and ~1500lbs left on the tires.
The 5th that I want could have a loaded weight of approx 13-14K with an approx. pin weight of 2800-3500lbs(20% and 25% of 14K). Easily over the limits of the truck but far from what the truck would have trouble pulling.
