This will be my first brand new sled, usually buy a couple year old model used.
wondering if anyone has had any issues with the new cat motor or any issues
in general.

im coming off of an 850 doo.rode an 18 cat a couple weeks ago and it blew my mind.
been on skidoos most of my sled career with the exception of a 16 cat beginning of last season for a bit.the 16 was great.just wanted to try an 850 and for me personally it didnt live up to all the hype.

any info on issues or concerns with the new cat would be appreciated.

thanks guys

Oil tank sensor sticks. Says low oil. I haven't heard of any other issues. A couple of them in my group pushing 1000 miles. 2018 mountian cat rocks. It's Still accellerating where I turn out with my axys. Super impressive sleds.

Personally I am more of a fourstroke guy,. I do ride the two strokes but hard to step from the 240 hp to 150 ish.... did ride our demo 18s quite a bit last season _ due to shoulder injury- very impressive stock , had a speedwerx can on one and it seemed to work pretty good, the direct injection makes a big improvement over power delivery in all areas, on point crisp and responsive. It did seem to really drop oil consumption and fuel range compared to the 16's that I had ridden. We purchased a bunch of the early release grey models and they sold well and everyone seems pretty impressed.

I was out quite a bit in the hills with the demos and lots of test rides were given. :) everyone came back with a smile...

If I spent a bit more time on the new 18 m8000 I would- I predict- be riding one full time

feel free to call or ask any questions . : )

side note - King Cat Turbo ....Ya 240 stock.... very sweet.... Yamaha Sidewinder.... equally sweet.....
