Biggest problem with these sleds is pdi. Ask ur dealer who is setting them up, a cat tech or some kid making 10 dollars an hour. You will quickly find out who the good dealers are.

we had one go down today, 1.3kms. not sure if the owness is 100 percent cats. we recieved 12 sleds before the bulletin came out. thought we had gone back through all the early release sleds, but we are humans and with that will always come error. for that we except responsibility, now we have to go through every sled a third time just to be sure. the crappy thing is we lent the sled out to a customer because his snocheck was not in, nothing we have controll over. bad advertising for cat and us, and an even shittier day for the customer. dealers cannot just blame cat, though it would be convient, they must also assune some responsibilty. the cat is a fantastic chassey, and someone made a good point about number of cases. although us mountain segment guys think we own the dled scene, the number of trail sleds out east dwarf our numbers out west. there are dealers in the us that will sell 500-1000 new trail sleds this season, there could be 5-10 of those dealers inside a region that would only be the size of a one dealer region here out west. the other forums out there are not publicizing this issue in any real amount of numbers. it would seem that a group of sleds went down the assembly line while there was some employee drama occuring, must of been some real good happy hour specials that day.

Sorry to poach your thread guys but I just wanted to share some info told to me when I was with BRP. There are alot of comments about how slow the manufacturers react to a warranty issue that develops in the field. I was told by a BRP engineer that there is a reason. When the service reps start to get calls from dealers about a problem they give it some time to see if it is isolated or turning into a trend. If they decide that they may have an issue they will request affected dealers to return the parts for the engineers to analyze. If it is decided it is a legit failure they then do there own testing as fast as they can and start working on a fix or solution for the failure. (Do you see where this is going?) Once they think they have a fix then the fix is now priority tested to make sure it will solve the problem. Now that they have a fix they have to go into production to build replacement parts for the dealer network. A warranty bulletin is now drawn up and sent to the dealers and...........................................the parts are on backorder. Then as parts are built they are divided up to dealers based on the dealers fleet size. (Sold 200 units, get 20 repair parts) The dealer now starts repairing affected units and evrybody wants it done first and complains and blah, blah, blah. The moral to the story you say? The manufacturers actually get stuff out pretty quick considering what they have to go through to get the finished product. Aaaaaand, all manufactures go through this, not just BRP. Lol. Cheers!:beer::beer:

Talked to multiple guys at my dealer; and I trust all of them. They all say don't worry about it just ride it. If I blow it up I wonder if the new top end could become a 925?:smiliestirthepot::dunno:

All the talk about overheating...this should solve that..:D 008.jpg

Also...dealer suggested removing foam from under the clutch to provide better air movement...so I did

I see a frog skin above the side panel clip on the clutch side, but not on the exhaust side.
Did you leave this open intentionally, or did the kit simple not come with one?

Sled looks real good by the way !

Kit didn't come with either side (top front) but i installed on clutch side (from the inside) with the screen behind that and then reinstalled the diverter behind that to direct the air to the belt. I didn't catch the right side one at the dealer when I bought but will be grabbing one to cover that today.

First trip next weekend...can't wait!

I am pretty sure those are the vented panels that are available right from arctic cat.
