Hi!
I have problems with my snowmobile (ski-doo MXZ 800, renegade 2008). On the speedometer says communication failure. Obratometer and speedometer does not respond. Button to reversing nor work. Other buttons work okay. Snowmobile were at service but before this is all normal work. The technician says that it will probably need to replace the entire speedometer.

Please tell me whether it is possible that some other preventive problem that would not have fancied excessive costs.

And I also ask for information, where to buy cheap speedometer?
I'm from Slovenia, Greetings and thank you for the answers!

First of all, welcome to the forum.

I don't have much experience with the gauge package. On my 2014 Summit 800, it got a little water logged from riding in the rain and it was unfixable. So I got a new one on warranty. Yes, they are expensive. I'm thinking you need to find a snowmobile junk yard or someone who has your sled and is parting it out. I'm not that guy, sorry. Good luck.

If it was fine before it went in for service, then something the tech did, I'd say

Now there's Allways that chance of qwinkydink...

Service is a replacement rubber carburetor, new ski caterpillar and bearings in the clutch, construction of of the clutch, waltz VARIOMAT, semerings of engine oil, axle bush arc. I was hooked on computer and changed the name of the owner-to me. I was there when it worked and I noticed that a cable for connection to a computer is not working well. Several times he had to plug in and plug out tahath cable. When he finally connect he said that the button does not work and isn't an original key of the snowmobiles

The CN shack along the tracks by Allen creek.
Pull the connector wire off the back of the gauges. Check to make sure all the little pins are straight. I did that to my 08. One little pin was bent and not going into the connecting harness. Same problem as you

That makes sense. I now remember a pin being bent on my 08 and that resulted in nothing in the gauge.
